How To Grow Ancient Fruit in Stardew Valley

Fill up your farm with the succulent, tasty ancient fruit in Stardew Valley. Here's how to go about doing it!

Stardew Valley continues to be the premiere farming game for anyone who wants to spend hours growing their own crops, harvesting what they've grown, and interacting with a variety of different villagers. Of course, it's always being updated as well, so even if you think you know everything about what's going on, there are still plenty of surprises to come back to at a later date.

One addition in particular is the ancient fruit crop, which can be used both as a component for creating genie pants and for giving as a gift. Most importantly, you can use it as a gift that you can sell for 1,650G and up. This means you've got tons of cash at your disposal if you happen to grow plenty of them.

Here's how you can grow ancient fruit in Stardew Valley.

The first thing you need to do is find ancient seeds to grow ancient fruits. These can be found via the Travelling Cart. You might be able to find the seeds there, but if you want a more safe bet, you'll want to set off on a journey to find the Ancient Seed artifact. It can be found within the mountains as well as the Cindersap Forest. When you find it, you'll want to donate it to the Museum, which will prompt Gunther to give you the seeds you need to plant ancient seeds. You'll also get the recipe you need to transform ancient seed relics into actual ancient seeds that you can actually plant at your farm. It can take a bit of doing, but it's well worth your time.

When you have the seeds you need, you can get to planting them on your farm. Once you first plant them, you'll need to wait for 28 days for them to mature. Afterward, the cycle only takes 7 days, so you'll be collecting the plants over and over again. Once you start collecting the fruits, you'll see their inherent value. Not only are they worth plenty if you want to start selling them for some extra cash, but they make excellent gifts. They can even be used to make wine, which is a lucrative option for saving more money.

No matter what you decide to do with your ancient fruit, it's worth finding seeds and waiting the entire 28-day cycle to get the crop into your farm. Once you've done that, you can expect a fantastic return for very little work. This is the fruit that keeps on giving, after all. There are much more difficult ways to make decent amounts of money, and it might seem like a bit of a wait at first, but once you cash in the first time from a full crop, you'll be raring to go back and get more.
