How the Halo Infinite Battle Pass Works

Learn the best ways to grind it out through all 100 levels of the Halo Infinite Battle Pass.

After a surprise release, Halo Infinite's long-awaited multiplayer mode is finally out and available to the public. It's been so long, we can hardly believe we're saying those words. But here we are, jumping into the first Halo Infinite multiplayer season, which is set to last a whopping five months, until May 2, 2022. You'll get five months to work through the massive amount of content that just dropped as part of the Heroes of Reach Battle Pass, and that's a good thing, because there's a lot to unlock. Specifically, there are 100 levels of rewards available that you can potentially work through as you complete various game modes and objectives.

If you're ready to jump in and start grinding ahead of Halo Infinite's official launch in December, you've got plenty of time to accomplish everything. Here's everything you need to know about how the Halo Infinite battle pass works.

How the Halo Infinite Battle Pass works

A look at the Halo Infinite Battle Pass and some of its rewards.

There are a few ways to quickly earn XP to level up your Halo Infinite Battle Pass. One of the most important (and simplest) ways is to complete the daily and weekly challenges available. You'll start out with a smattering of simple challenges, which may ask you to complete a few matches in a variety of different game modes. That includes Big Team Battle or Oddball. The directives will continue to change, of course, as the days wear on, but you can always expect new ones to pop up on a daily and weekly basis.

If you don't want to be caught by surprise, you can take a look at some of the weekly challenges that will pop up in the future by heading to the Challenges tab and looking through the new tasks that will be scheduled throughout the next few weeks. You might need to use specific weapons, or even earn Challenge Swaps to use with other players to change up what is required.

There's also the method of implementing XP boosts that you can earn from the premium version of the Halo Infinite Battle Pass. These will offer a boost of experience points while playing, and some will offer a flat amount of points that are simply added to your account all at once. Alternatively, you can purchase the premium Battle Pass to earn more XP per match. You could feasibly buy a level of your Battle Pass at a time if you preferred, but you'd need a lot of credits to purchase levels outright. Still, it's an option if you don't want to play the game to grind out experience.

The best, tried-and-true method of earning experience is to jump in and play, though. If you don't want to spend cash to earn levels, you'll want to just jump in and try every mode, complete every objective, and play as hard as you can. There's plenty of time left in the season, and we've all gotten a head start to jump in and start earning. Be patient, play hard, and the levels will come. And if you don't want to do that, well, buying your levels is still an option, too. Though you should keep in mind that choosing that method will cost you a considerable amount of money.
