How to Change Clothes and Accessories in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Ready to change up your look while on your Pokémon journey? Here's how to switch it up.

When you start Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you get to customize your character to your liking, including your clothing and hairstyles. You'll get a few items to use to do this at the beginning of the game, but there are more to unlock as you make your way throughout the game. The Sinnoh region is full of ways to make your trainer feel more like "your" characters. Of course, if you want to change things up later on, it's going to be a bit more difficult than just going to the main menu and changing things from there. If you want to make your character feel more like the trainer you'd want to be if you were in the Sinnoh region, keep reading for how to change your outfit and your hairstyle.

If you'd like to be able to change up the way you look as you travel through the Sinnoh region, you'll have to first get to Veilstone City. Here, you'll find the Metronome Style Shop, which is found south of the Pokémon Center in the city, with a purple roof.

Inside the Metronome Style Shop, which is adorned with two adorable Clefairy Pokémon, you'll find a shop owner along with a variety of clothes and other accessories inside. Talk to the shop owner, who's wearing an orange shirt, and you can purchase a new outfit or change the one that you're wearing. You can choose from a variety of different options, but you can try out the clothes before purchasing each one so you don't have to fly blind.

You can only purchase outfits that come as a set, but you can add interesting accessories like hats, backpacks, and other types of ways to further customize your character at the Metronome Style Shop. At the same location, you can swap out hairstyles, like braids, pigtails, closely-cropped hair, and more.

This is the only place you can go to change up all the pieces of your outfit, unlike many of the other entries in the Pokémon series. It's well worth taking a look at and making a pitstop, especially if you like to customize default characters. There's a lot to try in terms of outfits, and if you want to stand out from the rest of the pack, this is a great way to do it.

Because, remember: you should always be fashionable in the world of Pokémon!
