How to Defeat El Presidente in Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6 is here, so get ready to take out El Presidente with these tips.

Far Cry 6 is the latest entry in Ubisoft's long-running sandbox shooter game. It's a wild ride through the land of Yara, under siege by the nefarious dictator Anton Castillo, punctuated by explosive firefights, adorable Amigo animal companions, and the flames of revolution. We're thrilled about the sixth Far Cry adventure, so much so that we're celebrating its launch with our own special limited edition Far Cry 6 Collection.

If you're jumping into the game now that it's finally here, you're going to need help if you want to complete your mission. We've got some important tips and tricks for you to win your hard-fought victory against El Presidente, as well as how you can use the gear in our Far Cry 6 Collection to get there. Get ready to start a revolution.

Make each shot count

As you tear your way through Yara, you'll be faced with more than a few gunfights. Keep your cool, and don't start aiming wildly as you run toward enemies. The quickest way to ensure your defeat is to lose your cool. Instead, be sure you aim for the head when taking your shots from the darkness, and conserve ammo when possible. Do your best to aim for the places you know will hit your enemies where it hurts. And you'll be able to get through each mission more effectively and efficiently, straight on to take on El Presidente himself, eventually.

Pair your favorite SteelSeries mouse with our QcK Large: Far Cry 6 Edition, a limited edition mousepad emblazoned with a sprightly, sunny Far Cry 6 design. It's everything you love about our QcK mousepad series, combined with imagery you won't soon forget during your time as a guerrilla. Be sure to buy yours quickly, though, because these are sure to fly off the shelves.

Let your Amigos work for you

You'll collect five different animal friends in Far Cry 6 known as Amigos that can work for you in and out of combat. Similar to Fangs for Hire in the previous entry, these animal friends have their own sets of abilities and options that you can use to progress through the game. For instance, the alligator Guapo can take down enemies for you and even heal himself. The adorable dachshund Chorizo can find things for you and tag them to help you out. Be sure you actually make use of the Amigos instead of trying to tackle every situation solo. That's why they're there, after all. And most importantly, you can pet them. So be sure to give all your Amigos lots of cuddles after they take care of your "little problems." They deserve it.

Go in guns blazing when the situation calls for it

Your role as a guerrilla in Far Cry 6 is as important to the people of Yara's future as it is to you having fun. So even when you want to sneak up on every enemy and pull off some serious stealth kills, remember that you can be loud and boisterous to get the job done, too. That's why the game gives you the tools to do just that. You'll get some loud and crazy weapons to start explosions and blow up just about everything you see. So take advantage of that fact by abandoning stealth sometimes and doing whatever you want to. You'll achieve the same end result, and have a lot of fun doing it.

And you're going to want to hear every single bit of it. Get up close and personal with the carnage with our Arctis Pro headset, then deck it out with our Arctis Pro Speaker Plates: Far Cry Edition. These limited edition speaker plates are emblazoned with a vehicle doing fiery donuts around a large "Far Cry 6" logo, a reminder that there's always time for a little fun in Yara.
