Best Loadout to Get a Nuke in Warzone 3

Make sure you equip the best of the best and use the right strategies to go for a Nuke in Warzone.

Like in the previous iteration of the battle royale, you’re able to acquire and call in a Nuke killstreak in Call of Duty: Warzone after completing a specific goal. The Nuke, once called in, blows up the entire map and gives your squad the victory for the match.

Just like in MW3 multiplayer, the Nuke is extremely difficult to earn in Warzone. It requires hours of time and dedication, and sometimes that’s not even enough due to the fact the Nuke can be stolen from you. In the guide below, we’ll go over everything you need to know about getting a Nuke in Warzone and the best loadout to use to ensure you have the highest chance of success.

How to get a Nuke in Warzone 3

Before you can think about what loadout or strategies to use to go for a Nuke, you need the ways to get one. There are two methods of earning a Nuke in Warzone, both of which are viewable below:

  1. Win five games in a row in Warzone
  2. Win 30 games total in Warzone

If you manage to win five games in a row, or simply hit the 30 win threshold, you’ll unlock the Champion’s Quest in Warzone. This is an exclusive contract that’s only available after completing one of the two win objectives we listed above.

The Champion’s Quest can be started once you enter a match of Warzone, and it’s indicated by a gold crown icon on your map. Head to its location and start the contract, which tasks you with picking up a Geiger counter. The Geiger counter is indicated on your map as a gold telephone with wings on either side of it.

Once you pick up the Geiger counter, you need to look on your map and go to the green zone that’s marked. In the zone, look for a special cache and loot it. Looting the cache rewards you with the Beryllium element, which is required to assemble the Nuke. After finding Beryllium, go to the new zone on your map and drill into a safe to loot Tritium. Finally, the last element is acquired by shooting down a chopper carrying Plutonium.

After acquiring all three elements, go to the bomb site location that’s marked on your map and arm the Nuclear Bomb. Once it’s armed, you have two minutes to defend it. If you successfully defend the bomb, it will detonate, killing everyone on the map and giving your squad the match win.

During this entire process, if a team kills your squad with the Champion’s Quest contract activated, they can steal the contract for themselves. Ensure you’re being cautious about how you’re playing, unless you want to risk losing the Nuke.

Best Loadout for the Nuke

Whether you win five games in a row, win 30 games total, or need to survive while completing the Champion’s Quest, your loadout is paramount to your success. You need to have the best weapons, attachments, equipment, and perks to ensure you survive long enough to acquire and complete the Champion’s Quest contract.

Below, you can see our recommendations for what primary and secondary weapons you should run:

Primary Loadout

RAM-7

  • Muzzle: Casus Brake
  • Barrel: XRK Coremark 40 Heavy Barrel
  • Stock: HVS 3.4 Pad
  • Underbarrel: Bruen Heavy Support Grip
  • Magazine: 60 Round Drum

You could also equip a sniper rifle if you’re looking to survive by staying back at longer ranges, but these loadouts feature arguably the top two weapons in Warzone at the time of writing. If you’re curious about other top Warzone weapons, take a look at our guide. The RAM-7 and RAM-9 won’t fail you at close or long range, though, so you shouldn’t be at a disadvantage in any engagement.

Moving on, you can see the rest of the class below:
