How to get Double Jump in Silksong: Faydown Cloak Skill
Here's how to get this important ability.
Reach the peak of Mount Fay in order to acquire this ability. It won't be easy though!
Though you will already have a number of traversal abilities in Hollow Knight: Silksong, getting the actual Double Jump isn't easy. Called Faydown Cloak, this adds to your arsenal, which should include Silkspear, Dash, and Clawline.
You will need get all the way to the top of Mount Fay, which has a few difficult conditions: it's cold there so you will need to find warming points; there's few enemies so less healing for you; and there are hardly any benches.
This area is connected to The Slab, so you need to get there first (accessible from Choral Chambers).
Perfect Score uploaded a very nice video guide showing exactly how to get to the top of Mount Fay quickly. There is a lot of tricky platforming. First, ascend the walls to the left and make sure to move quickly so you don't freeze.
The whole road is quite long, and you'll almost always use enemies to chain leaps. Break through a wall and you will eventually reach a bench. Use walls to jump off of them.
As long as you are using all of your abilities, including the float, you will eventually reach the top. Refer to the video above for a visual guide on how to get the double jump in Silksong.
