Arctis Nova 3 Wireless Controls & Tips Guide
Get the most out of your Arctis Nova 3P/X Wireless with our tips.

Learn all the useful tips and controls on your new best friend for all your gaming audio needs.
If you're a lucky owner of the Arctis Nova 3P/3X Wireless headset from SteelSeries, you might be wondering what all the controls do. Or how to get the most of it.
And if you haven't nabbed one yet, this wireless headset features supreme lightweight comfort, an upgraded microphone as well as battery, and Arctis Companion app compatibility for all those amazing EQ audio presets for your games.
It also is great with the Switch 2, in case you managed to get your hands on one.
Here are some controls and tips to get the most out of your headset.
Arctis Nova 3P/X Wireless Controls

Power Button: the round, circular button is the Power Button. Press and hold it for 1 second to turn the headset on, and hold it for 2 seconds to power the headset off.
Quick-Switch: press the Power button once to switch between 2.4GHz and Bluetooth. Keep the USB-C dongle plugged in to your console for that sweet gaming audio, and leave the Bluetooth connection for your phone. If you get a call, you'll hear the notification; press this button also to take the call with your headset. It's that easy and convenient.
You will also press the Power Button once to enter Bluetooth Pairing Mode, the first time you're using the headset in order to pair it with your phone. Make sure your phone has Bluetooth device search and discoverability on!
Lastly, it isn't likely that you will have to do this, but in case you need to re-pair your USB-C dongle, or pair a new one, you can do it by pressing and holding the small button on the dongle itself for 4 seconds (with the dongle plugged into your gaming device).
Next, hold press the Power Button 3 times to enter 2.4GHz pairing mode. You should hear a sound that confirms the connection.
The most important part here is switching between 2.4GHz and Bluetooth, which you can do by just tapping the Power Button.
Multimedia Controls
Did you know that you can effectively control media with your Arctis Nova 3P/X Wireless? When you're listening to some Spotify jams, simply use the Volume Wheel to control it all without having to take your phone out of the pocket!
Volume Wheel: While spinning the wheel raises or lowers volume, you can also press in the Volume Wheel to control media:
Play/Pause Music: Single press
Skip Track: Double press
Previous Track: Triple Press
Answer/End Call: Press the Power Button
Ignore Call: Double press the Power Button
Increase/Lower Call Volume: Spin the Volume Wheel up or down
ChatMix note: ChatMix is controlled via Sonar on PC. On the Arctis Nova 3X Wireless, you can toggle between Volume control and ChatMix by pressing the Volume Wheel for 2 seconds. A sound will confirm that you switched modes.
Microphone Tips

As you've probably noticed out of the box, the upgraded ClearCast 2.X microphone is detachable. That means whenever you're traveling or will be gaming solo, you don't need to use it all!
Mic Mute Button: Note that the headset does have mute button for the microphone, in the event that you need to stay quiet during a call. The button will be pressed in when it is active.
Correctly position the mic: Insert the microphone so that the square part of it fits into the port, while the round part is lower. This will keep the microphone firmly in position.
Bend the microphone stem so that the front part of it faces your mouth. There's also an included microphone pop filter that you can put over the microphone.
Those are all the controls and tips we have! Make sure to use the Arctis Companion app to get the most out of your Arctis Nova 3P/X Wireless headset.
