Let's find out which assault rifles are the best to use and which ones you should consider leaving behind in Battlefield 6.

Since the first days of Battlefield 6, the assault rifle class has been among the most popular categories of weapons for players to use in multiplayer. Whether it's because Assault is the most enticing class to players or that they're such versatile weapons, assault rifles easily see one of the highest usage rates in the game. However, with eight total options available to players, it can be difficult to decide on one assault rifle to equip.

How do you know which assault rifles can compete with the other meta weapons in Battlefield 6? More importantly, how can you tell which ones simply aren't a solid option with their current stats? Fortunately, we've taken it upon ourselves to rank every assault rifle in Battlefield 6 into a tier list. This should give you all the information you need to pick the right assault rifle for your playstyle and make sure you have every advantage possible.

Assault Rifle Tier List in Battlefield 6

Our tier list will feature four different tiers: S, A, B, and C. We don't feel that any assault rifle deserves lower than a C-tier rating, as they're all at least somewhat usable under the right conditions in Battlefield 6. After the tier list, we'll go into more detail about why we placed certain assault rifles into a specific tier.

Here's the assault rifle tier list for Battlefield 6:

Tier

Assault Rifles

S

NVO-228E, B36A4

A

KORD 6P67, SOR-556 MK2

B

L85A3, TR-7

C

M433, AK4D

S Tier

First up, we have the S-tier of assault rifles, which consists of two weapons: the NVO-228E and the B36A4. You'll likely unlock the B36A4 first, and when you do, you'll notice right away that it has tremendous power and almost no recoil. The B36A4 also has a consistent fire rate that keeps it competitive at any range in Battlefield 6.

However, the NVO-228E is going to be a slightly better option, especially at closer ranges. The NVO-228E has one of the strongest damage outputs in the entire game, and that's paired with fantastic accuracy and mobility. While it does have some recoil without its meta attachments, after you level it up, you won't have any trouble controlling your full-auto shots.

A-Tier

Next, there's A-tier, which also consists of two weapons: the KORD 6P67 and the SOR-556 MK2. Starting with the SOR-556 MK2, some players are severely undervaluing the power of this Scar replica weapon. The SOR-556 has essentially no recoil, even with no attachments, and hits incredibly hard at close to medium range. While it does have a damage drop-off at longer ranges, its power under 50 meters makes it a worthwhile weapon to use if you utilize it correctly.

As for the KORD 6P67, this is kind of the polar opposite weapon to the SOR-556. The KORD 6P67 has an amazingly fast fire rate that allows you to mow down enemies in seconds if you can stay on target. Hitting consistent shots can be difficult due to the rifle's recoil, but once you equip some accuracy attachments on it, you'll have a much easier time.

B-Tier

The B-tier of assault rifles, which includes the L85A3 and the TR-7, is in a strange spot in Battlefield 6. Neither of these weapons is inherently awful to use, but they also don't push the needle in any one area. Both are fairly average assault rifles that you can certainly get some use out of, but you'll usually find that any of the options in S or A-tier are going to yield better results 95% of the time.

C-Tier

Finally, we arrive at C-tier. The M433 and the AK4D are the two assault rifles we've chosen for this tier, and the M433 might be a controversial pick to some players. It's the default assault rifle in Battlefield 6, and while a few players stand by this weapon with their entire being, the M433 simply isn't a good option. It has a tremendous amount of recoil and hits like a Nerf gun at most ranges, even after you max out its level. The M433 is decent if you can learn how to control it, but there are many better assault rifles out there.

As for the AK4D, this tier slot isn't controversial at all. The AK4D is among the worst weapons in Battlefield 6 and shouldn't be touched until EA decides to give it a well-deserved buff across all of its stats.

And that wraps up our assault rifle tier list in Battlefield 6. This list could change when new assault rifles are added to the game or balancing updates arrive, but as of Season 1, this is where the class stands.
