Does the microphone still work when it's retracted?

The microphone will still pick up sound while retracted, but since it's a directional mic, it needs to be extended and in close proximity to your mouth to produce the best quality of sound.

How does the headset connect to the Xbox?

The headset connects wirelessly to the included dongle. This dongle connects to any USB port on the Xbox via the included USB-A cable. The same dongle can be switched from 'Xbox' to 'USB', allowing it to be used on PC, PlayStation, Switch, Android, and Meta Quest.

Does the Nova 7X ChatMix dial work on both PC and Xbox?

The ChatMix dial works out of the box on Xbox, but for PC, SteelSeries Sonar Software (part of GG) is required for it to integrate with your game. Go to SteelSeries.com/sonar to download.
