Black Ops 7 Weapon Tier List
Your choice of weapon is everything in Black Ops 7, so let's figure out which weapons are the best to use in multiplayer.

There are 30 total weapons in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, and most of them have found their niche within the player base. The 30 weapons are divided into nine different categories, giving you plenty of choices to make when creating a loadout in multiplayer. While you can attempt to try out each weapon for yourself to determine if you like it or not, that's going to cost you a lot of time and effort, especially when using some of the high recoil weapons.
To save you some of that time, we have put together a full tier list for the weapons in Black Ops 7. This includes all 30 weapons, and we've ranked the weapons according to how strong and how easy they are to use in multiplayer.
Weapon Tier List in Black Ops 7
We'll start by showing you the tier list of weapons, which includes tiers from S-D. While it might sound harsh to put some weapons in D-tier, there are a few truly awful weapons in Black Ops 7 at the time of writing. After the tier list, we'll go over each tier and explain why some of the weapons were placed where they are.

S-Tier
Let's kick things off with S-tier, which includes the premier weapons of Black Ops 7 thus far: the Dravec 45, M15 Mod 0, and X9 Maverick. It's no surprise to see the Dravec 45 and M15 Mod 0 here, as they are currently the competitive weapons for professional players and the strongest all-around weapons in the SMG and AR classes, respectively.
However, it might be surprising for some players to see the X9 Maverick here. If you haven't used the Maverick or haven't been killed by the Maverick yet, you'll need to give it a try. It's a three-round burst AR that is arguably the most overpowered weapon in Black Ops 7. Use it now before it gets hit with a hard nerf.
A-Tier
Next, we have A-tier, which consists of strong choices that are right on the heels of the S-tier guns. There's a solid variety in A-tier, as we have a marksman rifle, two sniper rifles, a light machine gun, a shotgun, and a pistol. The two snipers are the VS Recon and Shadow SK, and both are extremely lethal as long as you can hit an upper-body shot consistently.
The marksman rifle is the trusty M8A1, which can one-burst enemies with its four-round burst, but it's also just a solid weapon through and through. The light machine gun is the MK.78, a simple-to-use LMG that has a particularly notable Prestige Attachment, and the shotgun is the Akita, which you've likely run into on smaller maps. Finally, we have the Jager 45 pistol, a weapon that acts like a shotgun at close range and can also be lethal at mid-range if you're accurate.
B-Tier
B-tier is largely made up of ARs and SMGs that are good, not great. This includes the MXR-17, the Peacekeeper Mk1, the DS20 Mirage, the Carbon-57, and the Ryden 45k. If we had to pick one of these weapons to move up to A-tier, it would be the Peacekeper Mk1, which has a terrific loadout if you decide to use eight attachment slots. The rest of the tier is made up of weapons that have a certain niche in multiplayer. The Warden 308 is particularly fun to use, as it's a mix between a sniper and marksman rifle.
C-Tier
Now we're getting into the "do not use" territory of weapons in Black Ops 7. Most of the weapons here are severely outclassed by their weapon counterparts in multiplayer, putting you at a disadvantage when using them.
However, the two SMGs in the tier, the RK-9 and MPC-25, are functional when equipped with the right attachments. We have also included the Knife in this tier, as it's the "best" melee weapon you can use in Black Ops 7.
D-Tier
Finally, we have the lowest of the low in Black Ops 7, D-tier. These weapons are technically usable, but you should only be equipping them if you're doing a camo challenge. The XR-3 ION sniper is arguably the most useless weapon in multiplayer, as it's a three-round burst weapon with slow mobility and low damage. The Razor 9mm SMG might also be a surprise choice for D-tier, but between its awful recoil, fast fire rate, and weak damage, it's mostly unusable outside of Face-Off maps in multiplayer.
And that does it for our weapon tier list in Black Ops 7. This tier list will certainly change over time as new weapons are added and balancing patches come through, but this is what we have prior to Season 1.
