Do I need Sonar for Streamers Software for Dual PC Streaming?

Yes; in order to enable the simple USB setup with only 2 cables and route the audio correctly to the second PC, you must use Sonar for Streamers software in Dual PC streaming setups.

What is the safe method for connecting and disconnecting an XLR cable to the Stream Mixer?

Please make sure that if you need to change or remove the XLR Cable that that you turn phantom power off. You can do that by either pushing the power button on the Stream Mixer or by turning phantom power off in SteelSeries Engine.

Failing to do so may cause damage to the Stream Mixer and/or microphone.

What are the control customization options?

With Sonar for Streamers enabled, the right hand dial and the Mute button can be assigned to directly control any of the Sonar channel faders or mutes. Set up the configuration via the Bindings tab in Engine.

Any tips for setting it up with a boom arm adapter?

When inserting the thumbscrew into the boom arm adapter, note a small groove on the inner ring of the thumbscrew. Align it with a notch that's on the inner part of the boom adapter. Rotate the thumbscrew until it lines up.

How can I hear sidetone?

In order to hear sidetone (your voice in real time), you need a wired connection. Plug in a wired headset and connect it to the Stream Mixer via a 3.5mm cable.

While dual PC streaming, how do I hear chat alerts and other audio from my stream PC?

The audio from the second PC (USB port 2) outputs to the Stream Mixer. You need to use a wired connection to hear the audio, either via headphone out or line out.
