Based in Chicago, the Category Manager will act as the overall manager of a class of products in the computer and console gaming hardware space. He / she will be responsible for the following:
Scan the competitive environment and be the expert in a category of products in the computer and console gaming space.
Define the new product road-map for a category of products.
Envision, define, and document new product specifications, descriptions, and industrial designs.
Present new products concepts to the sales and marketing teams and justify them based on business cases.
Direct the development and deployment of new products.
Project manage his/her products from conception to launch.
Manage 3rd parties and internal teams to bring products to launch.
Produce product marketing documentation in support of the Marketing and Sales teams.
Manage the end of life of products.
Minimum 3 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or product design.
BS degree in engineering or marketing required.
MBA is a plus.
Experience in computer or console gaming a plus.
