CHICAGO – August 25, 2011 – As the eSports community celebrates tournament successes from last week’s GamesCom in Germany, eStars in Korea and as player’s ramp up for MLG Raleigh this weekend, SteelSeries, the leading manufacturer of premium quality gaming peripherals, as well as sponsor and supporter of eSports, is proud to announce a new record in competitive gaming. Throughout the course of just one weekend, SteelSeries sponsored teams took home new titles and more than $1.3 million dollars in winnings, making it the biggest weekend to date in professional gaming history.
